Service Contract Details

Standard Depot Service (Repair with no temporary system) - The defective system is shipped to a depot/service center for repair. Upon completion of the repair, the system is returned to the customer. The customer will need to retain the original shipping container or order a new one so that no damage occurs during shipment. The customer will not be able to issue cards for up to two weeks as their system is repaired and returned so a backup unit may be necessary for customers who cannot be without a system. This is an annual subscription contract.

Rapid Replacement Service (Permanent replacement system) – When a system needs to be repaired, a permanent replacement system is shipped to the customer and the defective system is shipped to the designated repair center. In this scenario, the asset tracking number/serial number will need to be updated with the replacement system asset tracking number/serial number. This is an annual subscription contract.

Do I Need an ISO Mag Encoder?

Your ID cards may have a black bar on the back on them known as a magnetic stripe (or mag stripe). This is the same bar you find on credit and debit cards. Some schools and companies prefer to encode this bar themselves. They may put an ID number on it, use it to swipe at a time clock, or a multitude of other use cases. If your company uses ID cards with a magnetic stripe and you wish to continue to encode them yourself, you must select the "ISO Magnetic Stripe Encoder" option above. If your company uses ID cards with a magnetic stripe and you are unsure if you encode them yourself, check with your head of badging, HR, or IT before proceeding with your purchase.
