J OBrien Custom Badge Reels

Artwork Specifications

The J O'Brien Company currently accepts artwork in the following software packages and formats:

Adobe Illustrator CC (Creative Cloud) or Lower (CS4, CS3, CS2, CS, 10, 9, 8, 7) with fonts converted to outlines.

Native CorelDraw version 12 or Lower (10, 9, 8) or CorelDraw files EXPORTED as Adobe Illustrator 88 files with fonts saved as curves (or Outlines).

We will not accept any bitmap files such as jpg, gif, bmp, pcx, tifmor other bitmapped file types for artwork.  Raster or bitmap files of this type do not maintain the clarity and sharpness of the original vector artwork created in Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw when they are reduced to smaller sizes. If you do not supply either an Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw file and we must re-create your graphics, there will be a charge of $50 per hour, minimum one hour charge to do so; even if it means just adding one line of text.

Files created in NEWER versions of these software packages must be saved or exported in an older version number (as shown above) of the same software.  Adboe Illustrator and CorelDraw both have this capability.  When you submit your Adobe Illustrator file, please save it with the text saved as outlines.  Files not saved in this manner will not appear correctly as we may not have the font that was used to create it.  If you submit a CorelDraw file, please save it with the fonts embedded for the same reason.  You can submit your artwork by disk or email. If you send artwork by email, we do not accept files over 5MB in file size.  Artwork is accepted by email at: artwork@jobrien.com.  Always include a laser copy of the artwork.  There is no factory charge for camera ready art.


Cancellations

All cancellation requests will be billed for labor and materials used up to the cancellation date plus a $30 restocking fee.

J. O'Brien reserves the right to cancel any order placed through our website upon review of the account prior to fulfilling the order request.

Charge Purchases

We accept Visa, MasterCard, or American Express credit card processing.


Claims

Any damages,discrepancies or errors must be reported within 72 hours after the receipt of the merchandise.


Drop Shipments

There is no extra freight charge for drop shipments to one location. For split shipments add $7 for each additional destination.


FOB Point

All freight is shipped FOB Our Factory in Springfield, NJ (Zip Code 07081)


Increased Order Size

Any order increases will be treated as separate orders unless we can accommodate your order, and the order has not yet been started.


Less Than Minimum Quantity

Merchandise without a logo (unimprinted) is available with a $10 handling charge.  Orders in quantities that are less than minimum or merchandise with an imprint (logo) cannot be returned.


Orders

All phone orders must be in writing. A faxed or emailed order is considered an original order. If you confirm an order via FAX, please state on the order: "CONFIRMATION - DO NOT DUPLICATE".

All web orders will be reviewed prior to fulfillment. We reserve the right to cancel any order.


Over/Under Runs

Every attempt is made to ship exact quantities. However, we reserve the right to ship and bill 5% over or under the quantity specified on the order for imprinted and custom items.


Pricing

J. O'Brien Company, Inc. reserves the right to change pricing at any time without prior notice.


Printing

Hot stamping or silk-screening is used on all flat vinyl products. The method is indicated in the product description on each page. Lanyards can be silk-screened, embroidered or dye-sublimated. Domes for badge reels and label for badge holders are laser imprinted. Hot stamped colors cannot be PMS matched. PMS matches apply to all other methods of printing.

Returns

Stock items without imprints are returnable, only with written factory authorization when less than 2 months have passed since the ship date. The product must be packed in original unopened boxes. A 20% Re-Stocking fee applies to all returns. Custom items, imprinted products and programmed technology products cannot be returned. Orders in quantities that are less than minimum cannot be returned.


Exchanges

Stock items without imprints are exchangeable within less than 2 months since the ship date. The product must be packed in original unopened boxes. Imprinted and custom items cannot be exchanged. Orders in quantities that are less than minimum cannot be exchanged.

Trademarks

J. O'Brien Company, Inc. assumes no responsibility for determining who holds title to a trademark, or whether it can be used. Your submission of specific artwork to be printed is your indication that you have approval to print this artwork. All liabilities of this nature rest with the customer.


Made in America, Made in the USA, and Assembled in America manufacturing claims

J. O'Brien Company, Inc. requires that our suppliers certify the percentage of US content & country of origin in products supplied to us prior to supporting their claim.

J. O'Brien Company, Inc. assumes no responsibility for determining if the supplier has properly followed the most current rules and regulations for making the claim. Complying with the Made in America, Made in the USA and Assembled in America manufacturing claims are regulated by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).


Entrust Datacard CD & CP Series Products and Services

In accordance with our Solution Provider agreement with Entrust Datacard, we are not permitted to sell any CD or CP series products or services to a reseller without permission from Entrust Datacard on a case-by-case basis. Please contact a J. O'Brien sales representative to discuss (877) 379-8844.

J. O'Brien Company, Inc. reserves the right to cancel any order placed through our website upon review of the account prior to fulfilling the order request. We will attempt to contact the person who placed the order to review the transaction prior to the order being canceled.
