CMYKP-KPi
The Datacard 513382-209 Color Ribbon 500 images per roll, (CMYKP-KPi) consists of cyan (C), magenta (M) and yellow (Y) panels for printing a full spectrum of colors on to PVC/Composite ID card stock. The (K) panel is a black resin panel, typically used for printing in monochrome (barcodes, text, serial numbers, bold black graphics, etc.) The (P) panel or primer panel is necessary to ensure maximum image adherence when using a Datacard ID card printer that uses pigment ink. In a Datacard CMYKP-KPi style ribbon, following the first primer panel an additional (K) Black resin and second (P) primer panel is present to allow for dual sided printing (Full color front/monochrome black back). Finally, the (i) or "Inhibit" panel is used to prevent printing on embedded items (surface foils, signature panels, etc.) on a card's surface.
