Details
The Datacard 512648-012 CR805 card printer gives customers a complete, on-demand card printing solution with stunning color, card material flexibility, security features and durability they need to create virtually any type of card for their customers, citizens, and employees.
Reverse Image Transfer (Re-Transfer) Card Printing Technology
This ID card printer utilizes “Re-Transfer” printing technology, which diffuses ink (in the form of a ribbon) to a dye receptive film known as a “transfer film”. Once all necessary colors have been applied to the transfer film, it is then fused to a blank PVC or Composite card material. This two-step printing process allows for a high definition “over the edge” printed card. Since the transfer process is not limited by a fixed printhead, but rather utilizes the flexible transfer film material, the re-transfer method is ideal for highly detailed imagery (up to 600dots/in), which can be applied to uneven surfaces such as ID cards with embedded electronic chips (smart cards). Along with advanced printing definition and overall card coverage, the lifespan of a re-transfer printhead is dramatically increased by the lack of contact with the card substrate.
600 dpi
This ID card printer prints with a resolution of 600 dpi (dots per inch) or 23.6 dpm (dots per millimeter).
Dual Sided ID Card Printing
With a dual sided printing module, This ID card printer can automatically print on both sides of a PVC or Composite card.
ID Card Flattener Module
When the goal is to produce sophisticated and secure ID cards, presentation matters. Don't settle for cards that come out of the printer bent when there is a simple solution; an inline debower that flattens cards instantly after printing and/or laminating ensuring ISO standards for quality are met.
These flattener modules are installed in an ID card printer and prevent warping from heat during the printing process. Don't sacrifice quality or aesthetic in your ID cards-ensure a professional look and durability by adding and ID Card Flattener Module to your card printer.
Magnetic Stripe Encoding
This ID card printer includes a magnetic stripe encoding module. With an ISO magnetic stripe encoding module, you will be able to encode both high and low coercivity magnetic stripes embedded within a plastic or composite card. By configuring your printer and encoder, data can be stored across the three available magnetic stripe tracks; these magnetic stripe tracks can be used in a variety of third party systems. Systems that utilize magnetic stripe technology include: door access, payment, loyalty, etc.
Contact Station
This ID card printer is also with a contact station, allowing you to read and encode a card with an embedded contact chip.
Locking Hopper
For increased security, locking card hoppers offer an easy and effective solution to protect your ID cards. Locking input hoppers protect your inventory of unprinted (blank) cards from being stolen out of the printer, while locking output hoppers securely protect your newly-printed ID cards - which contain valuable and sensitive identification information. Use locking input and/or output card hoppers to add a valuable layer of protection to your ID card printing process.
