Service Contract Details
Standard Depot Service (Repair with no temporary system) - The defective system is shipped to a depot/service center for repair. Upon completion of the repair, the system is returned to the customer. The customer will need to retain the original shipping container or order a new one so that no damage occurs during shipment. The customer will not be able to issue cards for up to two weeks as their system is repaired and returned so a backup unit may be necessary for customers who cannot be without a system. This is an annual subscription contract.
Rapid Replacement Service (Permanent replacement system) When a system needs to be repaired, a permanent replacement system is shipped to the customer and the defective system is shipped to the designated repair center. In this scenario, the asset tracking number/serial number will need to be updated with the replacement system asset tracking number/serial number. This is an annual subscription contract.
Do I Need Encoding?
If you are new to encoding, it may feel a bit overwhelming. Which option do I choose? Loosely-Coupled or Single-Wire? What brand? The list goes on. We're here to help. First, if you are replacing a current printer, look for that printer's model number. If you search this SKU on our website, that should reveal if there is currently an encoder in the unit and what encoder it is. Then it's as simple as selecting the same encoder on your next purchase. However, if you are starting from scratch, it is best to contact whoever is in charge of your access control system in order to get details on the card technology your business or campus is using. If you're still not sure, we are always a phone call or email away. Contact us at (877) 379-8844 or email email@example.com. One of our certified technical specialists will walk you through exactly what you need, free of charge.
